Don’t Overthink It

New business owners often waste a lot of energy worrying about “problems” that actually don’t matter that much.

For example, they’ll worry about sending out live broadcast emails to subscribers who are still in their automated follow up email sequence. Won’t they get annoyed about receiving 2 emails a day?

My answer to this and a lot of similar questions is, don’t overthink it.

Watch this video and I explain why it’s better to not sweat the small stuff and focus on the bigger picture.

To answer the original question, there is a workaround.

For example, you might have a 5-day automated email sequence and you don’t want anyone who’s in that sequence to receive your live broadcast emails until they finish the sequence. In AWeber or whatever you’re using, you can create a segment of people who have been on your list for more than 5 days.

Then, you only send the live broadcast to people who are in that segment.

On the other hand, if the above sounds too technical to you, then just don’t worry about it. Send your live broadcasts to everyone, even if they’re getting an automated email on the same day.

Is it really a problem if someone gets more than one email from you per day?

Many of our MOBE mastermind attendees get more than 3 emails a day from us. Clearly, it didn’t annoy them enough to stop them from spending their money with us and traveling to attend our live events.

This doesn’t just apply to how many times you email. It applies to typos on your website, unfinished renovations at your place of business, or any other little imperfection.

Your true fans won’t care one bit, and they are the ones who are going to buy from you. Some people might get upset, but those people were never going to buy from you anyway.

Throughout all of your marketing, always be more concerned with helping potential buyers to buy than worrying about a few people getting annoyed and leaving. And don’t worry about mistakes and imperfections, because your most loyal fans will always forgive you.
